One NASCAR Cup Series driver has already punched his ticket to the third round of NASCAR's inaugural In-Season Challenge.
After Ty Dillon — the No. 32 seed in the tournament — eliminated No. 1 seed Denny Hamlin at Atlanta, Dillon was matched up with No. 17 seed and 2012 Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski for the second round of the challenge at the Chicago Street Course.
However, Keselowski was involved in a Lap 3 crash along with Austin Dillon, Carson Hocevar and Will Brown, knocking the veteran driver out of the race.

With Dillon continuing in the event, he will advance to the third round of the challenge and be one of eight drivers still alive for the $1 million prize that will be awarded at the Brickyard 400 on July 27.
While both Keselowski and Dillon found themselves near the bottom of the points standings entering Sunday's race, Dillon besting Keselowski in their head-to-head matchup can still be considered an upset, even if it's not one regarding seeding.
Tyler Reddick, who was matched up with Hocevar at Chicago, will also advance to the third round of the challenge after Hocevar was involved in the aforementioned Lap 3 crash.
