Watch: Denny Hamlin quiets boos by roasting Bristol crowd after NASCAR playoff win

After winning Saturday's NASCAR playoff race at Bristol Motor Speedway, Denny Hamlin wasn't very popular.

Greeted by boos after taking the checkered flag, Hamlin had the perfect response. Seemingly soaking up the villain role, he quieted the Bristol crowd with a roast for the ages.

"I beat your favorite driver," Hamlin said snidely. When asked to clarify who that was, he responded, "All of them."

Hamlin's third win of the year helped him punch his ticket to the Round of 12 in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr., Ross Chastain and Chris Buescher join Hamlin for the next round at Texas Motor Speedway. Meanwhile, former champions Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick were both eliminated from the field.

After taking aim at the Bristol crowd, Hamlin did extend an olive branch to anyone willing to change allegiances and join "all five" of his fans.

"I welcome any fan that wants to come to the dark side," Hamlin said via NASCAR reporter Alan Cavanna.
