Which is 2021 Cup champion Kyle Larson’s favorite NASCAR track?
Alex Gould/Special for The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

The NASCAR Cup Series is one of the most diverse Motorsports championships in terms of the different styles of tracks they race in. They race in Ovals, Street Courses, and Road Courses. The oval tracks are also diverse, with short tracks, Intermediate tracks, and Superspeedways. This makes the top-tier NASCAR drivers one of the most versatile ever.

So, the NASCAR drivers have multiple tracks to choose their favorite from. For the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion of Hendrick Motorsport, Kyle Larson, has his favorite tracks as well. In 2021, he admitted that the Bristol Motor Speedway was his favorite track. He made this admission after winning that year’s race on his way to a dominant championship season.

In the 2021 race at the track, he came in motivated to win his maiden event there and, with the help of his 2020 Cup championship, win his teammate Chase Elliott. Larson won the night race after 2014 Cup champion Kevin Harvick was held up in the final laps by Elliott’s No:9 Chevy Camaro.

I was pumped at Bristol. Got a lot of help from my teammate on that one. Bristol is my favorite track by far. And the night race especially is my favorite race of the year. I’ve always been really fast there and never won. So wanted to win there really badly with the help that I got, with Chase kind of holding up Harvick, able to work my way past Kevin with 3 to go and get my first win there was crazy. Larson said via Garage Talk.

Who is the most successful racer ever at Bristol?

With a seating capacity of 146,000, the concrete track is one of the largest sporting facilities in the world. It hosted its first NASCAR race in 1961 and since then has seen some of the sport’s biggest names at the victory lane.

Michael Waltrip is the most successful driver at the track. He has won a whopping 12 races in his career at the track. Coming in second is Rusty Wallace, who has won at the track nine times. Cale Yarborough, who recently passed away, has also won nine times at the track alongside seven times Champion Daler Sr.

RCR’s Kyle Busch is the track’s most successful active NASCAR driver. He has won eight races there. No other active driver has a tally close to Busch’s to make it to the top-10 list. His brother Kurt Busch, who retired in 2023, has won six times at Bristol.
