It has been years since Avery Bradley played in the NBA and won a ring with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2019-20 season. Now, the one-time champion is making his return as part of the Utah Jazz’ front office for next season.

Bradley first entered the league in 2010 as the Boston Celtics’ 19th pick in that year’s draft. While he was virtually an unknown during his rookie campaign, the6’3″ guard would later develop into a defensive specialist in the seven seasons he played for Beantown.

After his time playing for the Celtics, Bradley bounced around the league as a journeyman with a knack for defense. Among the teams he played for are the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, and Memphis Grizzlies.

During the 2019-20 season, the Los Angeles Lakers signed Bradley to play alongside All-Star forward LeBron James. Unfortunately, the former Boston Celtics rookie didn’t suit up for the Purple and Gold when the NBA returned inside the Bubble in Orlando to finish the playoffs. Nevertheless, Bradley received a ring from the Lakers after the team won the championship that year.

Bradley would go on to play for the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets before serving his final season with the Lakers back during the 2021-22 season. At that time, the defensive specialist played 62 games for the Purple and Gold, but never got to participate in the playoffs since his 2016-17 stint with the Celtics.

One-Time NBA Champion Avery Bradley Set To Join Utah Jazz’ Front Office

A couple of years after his final NBA game, Avery Bradley is set to return to the NBA. This time, though, as part of the Utah Jazz’ front office. According to  a tweet by Sarah Todd on X:

“Avery Bradley is joining the Utah Jazz front office as vice president of player development according to team sources. Bradley has been around the team a lot this season and has been traveling with the team recently,” Todd tweeted.

Bradley joins a Utah front office with Celtics legend Danny Ainge in it. The two worked together back during their time in Boston and the defensive-minded guard will be called upon to help the Jazz’ lineup become better in the months to come.

With Utah boasting an interesting lineup of young stars, such as Keyonte George and Walker Kessler, there’s definitely room for the Jazz to grow. Add Bradley’s experience to the mix and these guys have a better chance to improve in the coming years.
