2 Things We’ve Learned So Far This NBA Season
David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The NBA season is only a little over a month in but we have seen some great moments.

There have been plenty of surprise teams, and a few unlikely MVP candidates have emerged.

Even though there is still plenty of time left in the season, here are two things we’ve learned so far this season.

1. The Celtics Are The Team To Beat In The East

Despite losing coach Ime Udoka to a season-long suspension, the Boston Celtics have not missed a beat this year.

Boston has the best record in the NBA, sitting at 17-4.

They also have one of the league MVP candidates in Jayson Tatum.

After winning the East last year and losing in the NBA Finals, the Celtics improved their roster in the offseason.

The addition of Malcolm Brogdon has been big for them off the bench.

This team looks like a well-oiled machine with no sign of slowing down.

2. The Lakers Do Not Have Enough Talent

Some people wondered if a healthy Los Angeles Lakers team could make a push to the top of the Western Conference standings this year.

With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, at worst they should be a playoff team, right?

No, this has been one of the worst teams in the NBA so far this year.

The Lakers have a 7-12 record, and cannot even win when their whole team is healthy.

Shooting is a clear issue on their roster and they simply lack impact players.

Unless a big trade goes down for LA, expect to not see them in the playoffs again this season.
