The Denver Nuggets have had a busy offseason thus far and that continued into Las Vegas for the 2025 NBA Summer League.
Unfortunately for Denver, they finished the Summer League with a 2-3 record, though they did finish with two consecutive victories after losing their first three games.
During the Summer League, the Nuggets had multiple players who impressed but three of them stood out above the rest.
Curtis Jones, undrafted guard from Iowa, has been a standout on the Denver Nuggets’ Summer League roster, consistently impressing with his shot-making and poise. Jones went undrafted in the 2025 draft out of Iowa State and he clearly thought he had something to prove during the Summer League.
In five games, the 23-year-old guard averaged 14.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game while shooting 54.9% from the field and 46.7% from three.
It was an impressive Summer League from the young guard and Denver rewarded him for it on Monday as they signed him to a two-way contract.

Of course, Holmes II was the Nuggets’ first-round selection in the 2024 draft but he missed his entire rookie season due to a torn Achilles.
The 22-year-old forward was able to return during the Summer League and he impressed in the four games he suited up for.
In those four games, Holmes II averaged 13.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 51.3% from the field and 42.1% from three.
It was an impressive summer for the second-year forward as he might have played his way into a large role for the Nuggets next season, especially with their lack of depth in the frontcourt.

Jones entered the Summer League looking to impress to improve his minutes off the bench next season and he was able to do just that.
In four games, the 24-year-old forward averaged 12.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 51.5% from the field and 45.5% from three.
These three players all showed out in Las Vegas this summer for Denver and they should all see solid roles next season either in the NBA or the G League.
