3 Players the Atlanta Hawks Could Target in a Trade During 2025-26 NBA Season

After missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season last year, the Atlanta Hawks decided to be aggressive this offseason to upgrade their roster.

Of course, the Hawks had already built a solid core of Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, Dyson Daniels and Zaccharie Risacher but they elected to make some key additions to their roster this summer.

In free agency, Atlanta signed Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Luke Kennard and they also acquired Kristaps Porzingis from the Boston Celtics.

By making these moves, the Hawks are expected to compete for a top seed in the Eastern Conference this season as they try to make a deep playoff run.

Despite this, Atlanta could also look to make more moves ahead of the trade deadline and if they do so, they could target these three players.

Malik Monk

With the departure of Caris LeVert and Terance Mann, the Hawks could look to add another key scoring guard to their bench and Malik Monk could be a player they target.

Of course, the Sacramento Kings were open to moving Monk this offseason and they will likely continue to find a trade for him ahead of the deadline and the Hawks could be a team that shows interest.

For Monk, he would give the Hawks a great scorer off the bench and he has also improved his playmaking skills that could help Atlanta challenge for a top spot in the East.

Jonathan Isaac

Jonathan Isaac put together a solid season last year with the Orlando Magic as he was able to stay healthy and play in 71 games.

Despite this, Isaac may see a smaller role next season with the Magic’s additions this offseason which could open the door for Atlanta to make a move for him to upgrade their forward depth.

The 27-year-old forward is a solid scorer and great defender who could be a solid fit off the bench for the Hawks, though his injury history could cause Atlanta to hold off on making a deal for him.

Collin Sexton

The Hawks have been linked to Collin Sexton over the past few seasons and with them possibly looking for another scoring guard off the bench, he could become a target for them.

Of course, Sexton was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Charlotte Hornets earlier this summer but they may be willing to move him again, which could give Atlanta the opportunity to make a deal for him.

Sexton would give the Hawks a solid scorer off the bench who could be a key piece as they try to secure a top seed in the East.

While the Hawks could target all three of these players, they could also look elsewhere to upgrade their roster as they try to make a run at a title this season.
