4-Year NBA Player Reportedly Worked Out For The Sacramento Kings
USA TODAY Sports

Jaylen Nowell is coming off a year where he averaged 10.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 44.8% from the field in 65 regular season games for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He helped the Timberwolves make the NBA playoffs for the second straight season (they lost to the Denver Nuggets in the first round in five games).

This summer, Nowell became a free agent, and he is still available to be signed by any team in the league on September 28.

On Thursday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported intel from around the league and shared that Nowell has worked out for the Sacramento Kings

Considering training camp begins around the NBA in less than a week, Nowell could likely be signed for a veteran's minimum (or non-guaranteed) deal.

Nowell was initially the 43rd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Washington and has spent the first four seasons of his career with the Timberwolves.

His career averages are 9.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest while shooting 44.7% from the field and 32.2% from the three-point range in 184 regular season games (he has also appeared in six NBA playoff games).

As for the Kings, they are coming off an impressive season where they were the third seed in the Western Conference with a 48-34 record.

They made the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2006 season and lost to Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the first round (in seven games).
