Tyrese Maxey is the only player who has suited up in all of the Philadelphia 76ers’ 23 games this season. The 6-foot-2 guard is also leading the NBA in minutes played per game at 39.9. Maxey is currently averaging 31.5 points on 46.7% shooting, 4.7 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.7 steals, while also knocking down 3.7 triples per game on a 39.1% clip.

Maxey has popped up on the injury report ahead of Friday’s game against the Indiana Pacers. There appears to be no serious concern with this new issue, but considering how Maxey has only been listed on the Sixers’ injury report twice throughout the season, the fact that he’s back on the report is worth noting.

The Sixers enter Friday’s home game at Xfinity Mobile Arena with a 13-10 record. They have hovered above the .500 mark thanks in large part to Maxey’s incredible play. Philly will host Indiana on Friday with the objective of getting back to the win column following Sunday’s 112-108 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Maxey, however, is currently nursing an illness. The Sixers listed him on the injury report for Friday’s game, but the good news is that the 25-year-old is considered probable to play. This is the first mention of Maxey’s illness on the injury report, but it does not seem like it’s going to force him to miss time. Nevertheless, whether he is 100% on Friday is a different matter.

It is worth noting that Joel Embiid is also on the injury report for the Pacers game. The former NBA MVP is also probable to play as the Sixers continue to manage his recovery from a significant left knee injury. Kelly Oubre and Trendon Watford remain out for Philadelphia.

At this point, Maxey is expected to be a full go for Friday’s game. Barring any unforeseen setbacks, the former Kentucky Wildcats star should be back on the court against Indiana as he looks to keep his foot on the gas amid his breakout campaign.
