76ers' James Harden on Philadelphia: 'The love, the fans, it feels like home'

Former NBA MVP James Harden is with his fourth team and his third since the beginning of 2021 after getting traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in February. The 10-time All-Star isn't feeling like Philadelphia is another quick stop, though.

"The love, the fans, it feels like home," Harden told reporters Wednesday night, via ESPN's Tim Bontemps. "Just the love, the support, man, from looking around, hearing, 'We love you, James.'"

In Harden's first three games on the court for the 76ers, the team is 3-0 with all three victories coming by at least 15 points. Harden has averaged 27.3 points, 12.3 assists and 9.0 rebounds over the stretch, while the 76ers' other star Joel Embiid has averaged 32.7 points, 3.3 assists and 10.3 rebounds.

"We all just fit together," Embiid said Wednesday. "You've got someone in James that comes in with his experience and his playmaking ability, scoring ability, and you add up what he adds and he's been amazing, and what we have on the team. It all fits."

Harden, 32, has not yet picked up a player option to stay with the 76ers for the 2022-23 season, but he has said that he will eventually. But even if he declines to do so, it appears unlikely that Harden is inclined to leave Philadelphia any time soon.
