Wednesday night's match against the Atlanta Hawks marked the return to the court for a few members of the Philadelphia 76ers, Tobias Harris being one of them.
The 31-year-old sat out of the 76ers' previous match against the Utah Jazz due to soreness in his ankle, which caused him to have an early exit against the New York Knicks earlier on in the month.
In his return, Harris went off for 32 points on an efficient 50 percent from the field, while managing to also secure ten rebounds for his team en route to his third double-double of the season.
Yet, there was something different about Harris in his return, as the 31-year-old had his role on the team get altered a bit, having to handle the ball more, something which Nick Nurse highlighted following the Sixers' loss.
"We had him quarterbacking a little bit more, a little bit more of a focal position, little bit more play calling, etc., for him," Nurse told reporters, "He did a lot of good things in transition, a lot of good things in his match up as well."
While he didn't put up anything too memorable when it comes to assists, only dishing out four of them throughout the five periods of play, Nurse felt that his work in the fourth quarter was pivotal to Philadelphia's fight in the match.
"I thought we had one segment of the game where we didn't score very well, which was the top of the fourth, there was a long segment there where we were struggling, we didn't get good shots, didn't get many attacking baskets..." opened Nurse, "the rest of that quarter we did start to attacking and making plays, and he was a big part of that.
As the Sixers' head coach pointed out, Harris had himself quite the impressive stretch of game time in the fourth quarter, scoring ten points, while coming up with seven defensive rebounds for his team, which helped limit the Hawks to just two second-chance points.
