76ers vs. Knicks- 2026 NBA Playoffs: Game Preview, Odds, and Injury Updates (May 6)

Joel Embiid had sent a strong message to the Philadelphia 76ers fans. However, with Game 1 going in favor of the New York Knicks, Philly fans will have a tough time ahead. Playing in the Eastern Conference semi-finals, the road was always going to be tough. Sadly, New York put on an impressive display and won 137-98. 

Having toppled the Boston Celtics, Embiid fired back at the lazy narratives thrown at him. But following the first game of round 2, it is evident that the 76ers would need to fight out of their skins to defeat the Knicks. For New York, it looked like business as usual. Leading the charge from the front, Jalen Brunson dropped 35 points. 

Coming to the game, the Knicks took over the proceedings right from the beginning. And by halftime, they were in cruise control. New York shot 63% from the field. And with such a dominant victory, the Knicks registered their third consecutive playoff win with a margin of 25 points or more. Thus, as Game 2 approaches, things are looking really difficult for the 76ers. However, with their comeback abilities already on display in round 1, the team cannot be counted out yet.
