Once again, the Philadelphia 76ers are facing uncertainty with Joel Embiid’s health.

Last week, Embiid and the Sixers paid a visit to the Indiana Pacers to kick off a five-game road trip. At the time, Embiid was coming off a career-night, where he scored 70 points in 36 minutes of action.

The follow-up performance wasn’t ideal. You could place some blame on the fact that Embiid visibly tweaked his knee in the matchup in Indiana.

The Sixers pulled the plug on the game in the second half as they faced a 12-point loss against the Pacers. Embiid finished his night after 31 minutes. During that time, he scored 31 points while collecting seven rebounds, and three assists.

The Sixers didn’t seem too concerned about Embiid’s knee after last Thursday’s loss. When the team released their injury report for the Saturday night matchup against the Denver Nuggets, Embiid was left off of it, which signaled he was available to play.

The star big man prepared for last Saturday’s game as he typically would. Unfortunately, the Sixers’ medical staff didn’t believe he looked good enough to play. Noticing swelling in Embiid’s knee, the medical staff ruled out the seven-time All-Star late.

Monday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers missed Embiid as well. While the Sixers listed their MVP big man as questionable at first, they eventually ruled him out.

The Sixers won’t have much time to rest and recover after Monday’s outing in Portland. On Tuesday night, they are back in action with a matchup on the road against the Golden State Warriors.

For the second-straight game, Embiid will enter the matchup listed as questionable. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the MVP big man plans to go through his normal warmup routine to determine whether he's healthy enough to return or not.

The Sixers and the Warriors are set to tip-off at 10 PM ET.
