Aaron Gordon and the Denver Nuggets made sure to take care of business just before the start of the 2024-25 season.

Gordon has agreed to a four-year contract extension with $133M, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The Nuggets forward’s new deal includes a player option for the 2028-29 season as well as a trade kicker.

As part of the deal, Gordon will reportedly opt into his $23M player option for the 2025-26 season. He will then be paid his maximum annual salary worth just shy of $37M over the following three years.

Gordon has been a vital piece for the Nuggets ever since the team acquired him from the Orlando Magic in 2021. The 29-year-old has averaged 14.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists on 54.2% shooting through his four seasons in Denver. Gordon has also served as a perfect frontcourt complement to Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic.

The Nuggets have now fully committed to their championship foursome of Jokic, Gordon, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.

Denver also rewarded Murray with a huge extension last month. All four players are now signed with the Nuggets for at least the next three seasons.
