The Denver Nuggets enter Wednesday night’s matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans looking to pick up their fourth consecutive victory and they received some positive injury news before the game.
Aaron Gordon, who is listed as questionable with a right calf injury, is expected to suit up for the Nuggets in Wednesday’s game. Gordon missed Monday night’s victory over the Pelicans, but he is expected to return to the starting lineup on Wednesday for Denver.
Aaron Gordon should be good to go tonight for the Nuggets.

I still expect Zeke Nnaji to play off the bench though. Nuggets will use him so they don't have to stagger Gordon with the second unit when Zion Williamson comes back in.
This is great news for the Nuggets, especially with Gordon missing significant time this season with multiple injuries. The 29-year-old has played just 28 games this season as he missed two stints earlier in the season with a hamstring injury and then missed Monday’s game with a calf injury.
Gordon is a key piece in the Nuggets’ lineup and Denver should be excited for his return. This season, Gordon is averaging 12.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 52.1% from the field and 41.0% from three.
With Gordon's return, Zeke Nnaji will now likely return to the bench, but he should still see an increase in minutes after his impressive showing Monday night where he started in place of Gordon.
While Gordon is set to return for Denver, they will be without two key players in the matchup. Russell Westbrook remains sidelined with a hamstring injury and he currently has no return timetable. The Nuggets will also be without Peyton Watson who is set to be reevaluated in four weeks after suffering a knee injury in Denver’s victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 31.
Despite the Nuggets’ injuries, they have won three consecutive games, including taking down New Orleans on Monday 125-113. They will now once again face off against a depleted Pelicans’ team who will be without Dejounte Murray, Brandon Ingram and Herbert Jones as they look to push their win streak to four games.
Fans can catch Wednesday night’s matchup between the Pelicans and Nuggets at 9:00 p.m. EST.
