Actor finds Michael Jordan autographed bat in trunk of car

Michael Jordan's baseball career was short, but thanks to "The Last Dance," someone discovered a very expensive piece of Jordan memorabilia from his baseball days.

In an interview with USA Today's Bob Nightengale, Hollywood actor and stuntman Tony Todd revealed that he had a Louisville Slugger bat autographed by Jordan sitting in the trunk of his 1966 Pontiac LeMans for 13 years. He had forgotten about it until someone asked if he had seen "The Last Dance."

"My God, I had totally forgotten I had the M.J. bat, to be honest," said Todd, who played Mickey Scales in the 1994 baseball movie "Little Big League." "When the guy mentioned it, I sprinted through the house like Carl Lewis.

"I'm running around the house, going, 'Where's the bat? Where's the bat?' I couldn't find it."

Jordan used the bat in a 1994 Arizona Fall League game with the Scottsdale Scorpions. Todd had the opportunity to meet Jordan in the clubhouse after the game, and that's when the Chicago Bulls star gave him the bat and took photos with him.

The bat is now going to be auctioned off on Saturday by Memory Lane.

Jordan memorabilia has become pretty popular since "The Last Dance" aired. A pair of the NBA legend's 1985 game-worn Air Jordans sold for $560,000, and a pair of his cleats from his days with the Chicago White Sox minor league affiliate Birmingham Barons sold for $93,000.
