Adrian Wojnarowski Confirms That Ime Udoka's Career Is Not Over: "This Is Not Going To Be A Death Knell For Him..."

In the aftermath of a major scandal, Celtics coach Ime Udoka is facing the possibility of his coaching career being over for good. With so much weight surrounding the crisis in Boston, it seems only a matter of time before his suspension turns into a full-blown exit.

And while some believe that Udoka is not getting another NBA job, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski pointed out that he could still be in the running for gigs with other teams and that it will really be up to Boston whether or not they bring him back.

Ime Udoka's Performance Last Season Will Help Save His Career In The NBA

Thanks to Udoka's impressive breakout campaign last year, there is still hope of him landing a job if the Celtics let him go. According to Woj, he made quite the impression with his breakout run last season.

"That's something that Brad Stevens, ownership, at some point is going to have to address - about how open-minded they really are to bringing Udoka back as their head coach," Adrian Wojnarowski said on SC with SVP. "And some of this might be legal protection for the Celtics. You know, not committing to Udoka's return."

"The final chapter of Udoka's coaching career has not been written. This is not going to be a death knell for him," Wojnarowski assured. "It could be the end in Boston, but this is a coach who made an incredible impression on people - what he did in Boston last season, getting them to the NBA Finals."

Right now, all we know is that Udoka got caught cheating on his long-time partner with a fellow Celtics staffer. We also know that there may have been some unwarranted advances made on Udoka's part.

Apparently, however, the story gets even worse than that.

On Instagram Live this week, former NBA player Matt Barnes got real on Udoka's scandal and hinted that his innocence might not be as strong as he wants us to believe.

"I spoke on Ime Udoka's defense and after finding out the facts I erased what I posted because this situation in Boston is deep, messy and 100 times uglier than any of us thought. Some things happened I can't condone. It's not my place to tell you what happened."

Clearly, there is more to this whole situation that needs to be brought to light. In due time, everything will get exposed, and the truth will be revealed.

In the meantime, fans and experts are going to continue speculating on Udoka's coaching future and how this whole ordeal will impact him and the Celtics going forward.
