I don't know if Ray Allen's influence on popular sneaker culture gets enough credit. The NBA Hall-of-Famer who won championships with the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat has impacted some iconic looks in the late 2000s and early 2010s. The Air Jordan 13 'Lucky Green' isn't his PE, but it feels a lot like it. Let's talk sneakers.

I don't know if any player in NBA history made wearing green look so cool. Think about it, Allen played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle Supersonics and Boston Celtics during his career. All of those teams had green as a major or secondary color and Allen made them all look great.
The Lucky Green mirrors the Ray Allen AJ13 PE that surfaced in 2011 -- same white leather base with green suede overlays on the AJ13 silhouette. The PE was a Celtics exclusive that never hit retail. This is the closest the public has gotten to owning that colorway.
Perhaps there isn't a healthy demand for green AJ13s. No matter, I love this sneaker and it is on my radar.
The Lucky Green dropped in September 2020 during a period where strong releases got overshadowed. Green remains a polarizing color on Jordans, and the AJ13 does not generate the same resale frenzy as the AJ4 or AJ11. No retro is scheduled for 2026.
If you're a Ray Allen fan, a collector or you just need a fly pair of green sneakers, I can't imagine why you wouldn't be interested.
At $183 with 3M reflective piping, Lucky Green suede overlays and the holographic cat eye, this is one of the most affordable entries into the AJ13 silhouette. The AJ13 Del Sol proved there's value in non-OG AJ13 colorways at this price point, and the Lucky Green makes the same case.
