AJ Dybantsa teases major announcement coming this week

AJ Dybantsa is settling at BYU and is soaking up the entire experience.

The top five-star college basketball player in this year's class has already said this will be his only year in Provo. He's projected as the top pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and is expected to be one of the best players in BYU history.

Dybantsa took to social media and teased a big announcement coming on Cinco de Mayo. Many people have speculated what the announcement might be. Nike has put together some interesting Player Edition shoes on the KD line. Does this mean Dybantsa will be getting his own signature shoes before the season? Any announcement of that magnitude would be unprecedented for a college hoops star.

Whatever it might be, Dybantsa wants to share the news with the world on Tuesday. It could also be a huge NIL deal in the works. Stay tuned to find out.

While the 6-foot-9 forward passed on traditional powerhouse programs to be under Kevin Young's guidance, there were no mistakes in the process. Dybantsa will get NBA-style coaching before heading off to the league next year. Before that happens, he'll be one of the top NIL earners in the country.
