Al Horford Expected To Sign With Warriors

Al Horford is expected to sign with the Golden State Warriors, according to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Horford is an unrestricted free agent. 

Horford appeared in 60 games for the Boston Celtics last season. The five-time All-Star and 2024 NBA champion averaged 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 42.3% overall, 36.3% from beyond the arc and 89.5% from the foul line. 

The 39-year-old Horford has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Celtics (twice), Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder. The veteran has career averages of 12.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists. 

The Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2025 postseason. They haven’t made any moves in free agency yet.
