You can finally exhale, Bulls fans. Alex Caruso is back.
Caruso will make his return to game action Saturday night against the Cavaliers, the Bulls announced via Twitter hours before the game. He's been out since Jan. 21.
The injury that kept Caruso sidelined was sustained that night in a game against the Bucks. When the Bulls forced a turnover, Caruso and Ayo Dosunmu leaked out in transition. Dosunmu passed off to Caruso, who went up to the rim.
Grayson Allen of the Bucks, who came in from the opposite side of the hoop, went up to contend Caruso's shot but ultimately ended up pulling him down to the hardwood.

Caruso was diagnosed with a fractured wrist and missed nearly two months of action as a result. Allen was ejected and ultimately suspended one game by the NBA. On Friday, Caruso told reporters that Allen never reached out to apologize.
Now that he's back in the fold, Caruso figures to offer a strong defensive presence on the perimeter in addition to a solid rotational role on offense. Prior to his injury, he was averaging 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game to go with a career-high 1.9 steals per contest in his first season with Chicago.
The Bulls entered Saturday at 40-26, good for fourth in the Eastern Conference, though they're just 1.5 games back of second place and four back of the top spot.
