LeBron James ’ wife Savannah is now going through the process of selecting a college for her second son Bryce—much like she did with her eldest son Bronny, who is now a rookie for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Bryce, who hopes to follow his father and big brother in the NBA, is currently in his senior year at Sierra Canyon School, and yet he has already taken the attention of some colleges.
On the latest episode of Savannah James’ “Everybody’s Crazy” podcast, LeBron James’ wife spoke about her and Bryce going on a college visit, candidly lamenting the fact that another one of her three children is going to leave home soon.
“I’m about to go on a college visit with my second child and I don’t know how to feel about it,” Savannah said. “It’s exciting. I’m excited, but like that means another one is going to be leaving the nest, so that’s kind of crazy for me, but it’s fine. All the emotions, but it’s fine, it’s good. I’m good.”
Bryce James is still in the midst of his senior year in high school, and so far hasn’t taken the floor for Sierra Canyon this season, but LeBron James’ second son has earned plenty of attention for his play on the AAU.
Showing impressive athleticism at 6-foot-6 and an ability to shoot from long range, Bryce has garnered the attention of Ohio State and Duquesne. Both schools, according to Sporting News, have made him scholarship offers.
Bryce has also attracted the interest of Arizona and USC and has gone to both schools for unofficial recruiting visits. It was not clear what schools he and his mother Savannah had visited prior to her recording the latest episode of “Everybody’s Crazy,” but that information may be revealed in the coming days.
Savannah and Bryce James still have more college visits planned, so the second son still has time to figure out which college he wants to enroll in. It is only a matter of time when everybody finds out which NCAA school the second-generation player ends up playing for.
Born on June 17, 2007, Bryce attended Sierra Canyon School until he transferred to Campbell Hall school ahead of his junior year. He stayed there for only a few summertime months before declaring he would transfer to Notre Dame. However, he never got to play for Notre Dame due to being ruled ineligible for half his junior season as per the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section’s transfer rules. He moved back to Sierra Canyon in his senior year.
