On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers got back in the win column with a narrow 116-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road. It was another epic performance from Austin Reaves, who scored 28 points, dished out 16 assists, and hit the game-winning floater at the buzzer to give his team the win.
Reaves has been the clear-cut first option for the Lakers over the last week with LeBron James and Luka Doncic out with injury, and he's carried Los Angeles to a 2-1 record in their absence, posting multiple mammoth stat lines, including a 51-point game and a 41-point game within 24 hours of one another.
On Wednesday, Reaves waited until the very last second to produce arguably his most impactful moment of the Linsanity-like stretch, taking advantage of poor defensive positioning by Rudy Gobert and lofting in a floater over Donte DiVincenzo as the buzzer sounded.
On Thursday, the Lakers' account on X raised eyebrows by posting a compilation of every available angle of the play.

Various videos taken by fans in the arena also circulated on social media after the game.
Overall, it was yet another epic play for Reaves, who has been racking up memorable moments seemingly every time he steps on the court to open up the 2025-26 season.
The Lakers recently announced that Doncic had been upgraded to questionable for Friday's NBA Cup clash vs the Memphis Grizzlies, meaning Reaves may soon be relegated back to playing more off the ball. It will be interesting to see how the Lakers navigate Reaves as a third option once Doncic and James are both back in the lineup, considering how effective he can clearly be as the initiator of the offense.
Reaves has shown a willingness to operate more as a catch-and-shoot player on offense throughout his career, but head coach JJ Redick will have to figure out how best to maximize this roster with the new revelation that it may very well contain three All-Star level players.
The Lakers and Grizzlies are set to tip off on Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET from Memphis.
