Amin Elhassan Explains Why Ben Simmons Is Ideal For The Warriors: "He Gives Us An Opportunity To Extend This Window For Five, Six, Seven More Years."

The Philadelphia 76ers have a tough situation in front of them. Ben Simmons' trade value is as low as it'll ever be and they need to make a decision.

On one hand, they can just force Simmons to play with them. He's under contract and will have no choice but to show up eventually. On the other hand, maybe they don't want him in the team anyway.

So, the Sixers can either take a penny on the dollar on him or let him play to try and take his trade value up.

Whatever is the case, NBA insider Amin Elhassan believes that the Golden State Warriors should make a run at him, as he'll help them while their championship window is still open:

"He fits for a team that is getting older," Elhassan said on SiriusXM NBA Radio. "you say we (Warriors) get this guy, 25-YO and he gives us an opportunity to extend this window for five, six, seven more years. As these (Warriors) guys get older, maybe not as good as they want to work, doesn’t matter.”

“We’ve got this other guy (Simmons) as a centerpiece in this. In free-flowing offense up and down, he’ll be more free to be the best version of himself than he was in Philadelphia.”
