Did Draymond Green just predict a Nuggets repeat?

The old heads would say a player shouldn't publicly admit an opponent's superiority, especially if they're in the same conference. However, Draymond Green doesn't subscribe to those notions.

Speaking on the "The Draymond Green Show," Green flat-out admitted that the Nikola Jokic-led squad is the best team in the Western Conference. 

While citing the Nuggets going 11-1 since the All-Star break, Green pointed to Michael Malone's team switching up a gear a month ahead of the playoffs. 

"They just moved back to the No. 1 seed in the West," Green said of the Nuggets. "I think things will stay that way. They are gearing up for the playoffs. They are a championship team. They're starting to figure out that as long as they stay in the mix all season, they can turn it up when they want. And they're doing that now.

"...The Nuggets are real. They're playing great and they look like a championship team."

The Thunder actually reclaimed the No. 1 seed with a win Thursday night, but are tied for the best record (46-20) with the Nuggets. However, Denver has a considerably easier strength of schedule left in the season and is better positioned to finish with the top seed. 

Should the Warriors fanbase read too much into Green's admission? 

In fairness to Green, he has maintained that his Warriors are still "legitimate title contenders" and that the presence of Chris Paul in the second unit will help his squad in the playoffs. Yet, Green, like everyone who follows the NBA, understands that the West goes through Jokic and the Nuggets. 

Perhaps Green knows a budding dynasty when he sees one, after being an integral member of one over the past decade.
