Giannis Antetokounmpo switches fast food allegiance after historic performance

After he scored 50 points in an NBA Finals-winning game, Giannis Antetokounmpo went to Chick-fil-A. Now, he's switching restaurants.

To celebrate the 2021 title, Antetokounmpo hit up the drive-through at Chick-fil-A, where he ordered one chicken nugget for each point he scored. But apparently, he was soured at the idea of paying full price for those delicious nuggets, or perhaps a miserly policy towards dipping sauces.

Now, he's moving on to a Wisconsin institution, Culver's, a chain of fast-casual restaurants known for its butter burgers, frozen custard and cheese curds. Perfect for a professional athlete's diet!

Culver's seems excited about their new informal celebrity spokesman.

The Bucks needed every one of the "Greek Freak's" 54 in their 106-105 comeback win over the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday night. It's the third time Antetokounmpo has gone for 50 points in the past 11 games, but the first time he's announced such a gluttonous celebration.

But Milwaukee's nutritionist doesn't have to panic yet. Because even though Antetokounmpo had just two assists along with his 39 shots, when it comes to cheeseburgers, he's willing to share.

“I'll go get 50 cheeseburgers and try to eat as many as I can," Antetokounmpo told reporters. "The rest, I'll have my son eat them or I give them to my dog."

In the end, when Antetokounmpo scores big, the Bucks benefit, Culver's benefits, Antetokounmpo's favorite diaper charity benefits, and so does his dog. Imagine if he could make his free throws!
