Kyrie Irving: 'There's light at the end of the tunnel' for Nets

The Brooklyn Nets pulled off an impressive upset Saturday night with a 126-123 win against the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks and Kyrie Irving said it's a sign that the tides are turning.

The win was just the third for the Nets in the last month after the team lost 11 straight during a stretch prior to the All-Star break.

"I'm glad that things are kind of settling down and there's light at the end of the tunnel here," Irving told reporters after the win, via ESPN. "Hopefully, I can get back on that home floor playing in the Barclays and now we can finally have that conversation that you've been dying to have just about turning the page and moving forward beyond this."

Irving, 29, rejoined the Nets in January and has only been allowed to play road games due to New York vaccine mandates, although that may soon change. On Saturday, Irving scored a season-high 38 points with five assists and five rebounds.

The win was also the Nets debut for Goran Dragic, who scored six points with three rebounds and two assists in 14 minutes on the floor.

Most importantly for Brooklyn, Kevin Durant is expected to return sometime next week from an MCL sprain that has kept the team's leading scorer out of action since mid-January.
