On Wednesday night, the Dallas Mavericks suffered arguably their worst loss of the season, falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 113-110.

Dallas blew a 20-point first half lead against a Cavs team without Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley. In the fourth quarter, Cleveland went on a 15-0 run with under six minutes remaining to take the lead and steal the game from the Mavs.

Despite the loss, one positive coming from the game was the play of Seth Curry off the bench, as he finished with a season-high 19 points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-9 from downtown.

"He was great. He was great from when he checked in," Mavs coach Jason Kidd said of Curry. "He got us going from the 3-point line. He was pretty much the one that was making the 3s tonight; he made 5 of them."

"It felt good, got some good looks and got a chance to push the ball up the floor and make some plays," Curry said. "I played some long stretches. It felt good to get out there and get my feet wet.”

Curry scored 10 quick points in under five minutes in the first quarter to get his night going early by benefiting from open looks created by Luka Doncic.

"It was really good. He got shots up, and we all know he is going to make them, so I try to find him," Doncic said of Curry.

"Just looking at when his name was called, he was ready," Kidd said.

Whether Curry has a stamped role in the Mavs' rotation or not, whenever his number is called, expect No. 30 to be ready to work.
