NBA player's resemblance to Travis Kelce has now become a meme

Has anybody seen Travis Kelce and Jonas Valanciunas in the same room together? Because they could very well be the same person moonlighting as a tight end in football and a center in basketball.

The uncanny resemblance between the two extends beyond just their long beards and burly physiques; they even sport similar hairdos. After Kelce and the Chiefs won the Super Bowl Sunday night, Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III posted a video of "Travis" celebrating in the locker room.

"Travis, we won!" Murphy could be heard saying, propelling Valanciunas to rise and celebrate.

The Pelicans franchise took the meme to a whole new level Monday by posting a picture of Valanciunas in practice with the caption, "won the Super Bowl last night and already back to work."

In 2017, Kelce acknowledged his "uncomfortable" resemblance to Valanciunas when a fan pointed out that the two would look identical if the NBA player were to shave his head. Instead, Kelce began to grow his hair out and found himself looking even more like the Pelicans center.

Meanwhile, Valanciunas has never shied away from being called Kelce's doppelganger. In 2019, he shared a photo on Instagram of him wearing a Chiefs hat while referring to Kelce as his "brother from another mother."
