The 2024-25 NBA season has been a disappointment for the Phoenix Suns overall. However, even with those circumstances, it is tough to deny that Kevin Durant has still been hooping. The Slim Reaper has been the best part of the Suns' all season long.
Durant is averaging a strong 27.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game in 2024-25. His scoring punch has been delivered with the usual reliability that can be depended upon from the Suns superstar.
Durant has posted healthy shooting splits of 52.3 percent from the field, 38.4 percent from beyond the arc, and 82.9 percent from the free throw line. That equates to a strong 62.8 true shooting percentage.
The 14-time All-Star has always been praised and beloved for his fantastic scoring ability. Durant broke the mold when it comes to the expectations of what a seven-footer can do with the basketball. Even though the Suns superstar will tell you he is not that tall.
Regardless of that, Durant has always been hailed as one of the best scorers that the NBA has ever seen. Former Golden State Warriors teammate Andre Iguodala got to see that up close and personal when the two played together in the Bay Area.
On a recent episode of The OGs Show, Iguodala let it be known just how highly he thinks of Durant's scoring ability.
“KD is the best basketball scorer of all time, most talented basketball player of all time, I've never seen anything like this.”
-Andre Iguodala
Durant has some stiff competition for the title that Iguodala is giving him. Michael Jordan is obviously prime candidate number one to challenge him for the distinction.
However, given how silky smooth Durant's scoring has always been, it is tough not to get enamored with all the different ways he can put the ball in the hoop sometimes.
