Andrew Nembhard on playing for Gonzaga's Mark Few: 'He just allowed me to be free'
Photo by James Snook, USA TODAY Sports

Andrew Nembhard had to make quite the adjustment upon transferring from Florida to Gonzaga his junior year of college, but he never had to worry about changing who he was as a person and a player when it came to playing for Mark Few.

"He just allowed me to be free,” Nembhard said of Few on Talking Zags. "For him with me, it was always ‘I’m going to bring what I have to the table, but I want you to bring your confidence, your swagger to the game every time and don’t let that waiver throughout the game.’"

Nembhard shared his experiences playing with Few and much more with former All-American Dan Dickau on a new episode of Talking Zags.

Nembhard, who helped lead Gonzaga to the 2021 NCAA National Championship game, is in his second season in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers. He is averaging 9.0 points and 4.6 assists.
