Anthony Davis , Dallas Mavericks power forward, was injured in his debut match for the team against the Houston Rockets. Davis reportedly injured his left adductor on Saturday when he was playing his first game for the Mavericks after being traded to the team from the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite Davis’ injury, the Mavericks managed to win the game against the Houston Rockets with a final score of 116-105. Before he left the game after being injured, Davis managed to score a total of 26 points, grabbing 16 rebounds and assisting seven times. Max Christie managed to score 23 points for the team, with a pair of boards and two helpers.

“They’re still evaluating, there’s still stuff that has to come out at some point. All speculation right now. But he’s being evaluated and at that point, a statement will come out.” Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said to reporters.

According to current rumors, Anthony Davis might actually be out for a few weeks. Last week, Davis was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in a truly shocking trade by the Los Angeles Lakers, who got Luka Doncic in return.

Spencer Dinwiddie managed to add another 20 points to the team’s total, with a pair of boards and five assists, while Klay Thompson contributed 19 points, along with two rebounds and a single helper.

The Dallas Mavericks are currently ranked eighth in the Western Conference with 28 wins and 26 defeats. The last time the Mavericks met the Warriors, Dallas managed to win with an impressive 143-133. With Anthony Davis out for the next few weeks, the Dallas Mavericks really need to re-strategize their offense if they want to win this matchup against the Golden State Warriors. After the Warriors, the Mavericks will be on their way to lock horns with the Miami Heat to continue the NBA schedule.
