Anthony Davis: It's 'very humbling' to see rookie card sell for over $1 million

The trading card market has seen several basketball cards sell for over $1 million in recent months. Anthony Davis's rookie card can be added to that list.

A 2012-13 Davis National Treasures Logoman patch rookie card sold for $1.02 million at Goldin Auctions in February. The card is signed, graded MINT 9 and the logo is graded a 10.

The Los Angeles Lakers big man recently told Brooke DiPalma of Yahoo Finance that he was humbled to see the card sell for over $1 million and admitted he's considering getting into the trading card industry himself.

"I might have to get into that space ... it's very humbling," Davis said. "I mean, it's a great honor to have one of my cards sell for that much."

This particular Davis rookie card set a record for the highest price ever paid for a Davis card.

Other basketball cards that have hit the auction block recently include a Luka Doncic rookie card that sold for $4.6 million and a LeBron James rookie card that sold for $1.5 million.
