Anthony Davis leaves Game 4 vs. Suns with left groin strain

Lakers superstar Anthony Davis missed the second half of Game 4 against Phoenix after suffering a left groin strain, as relayed by Dave McMenamin of ESPN (Twitter link).

Davis sustained the injury at the end of the first half, finishing with six points, four rebounds and three assists. The Lakers played without the likes of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope due to a knee contusion, with LeBron James also admitting this week that he needs around-the-clock treatment to keep his ankle ready.

Davis was dealing with a left knee sprain coming into the contest. He averaged 27 points, 9.3 rebounds and 39.7 minutes in the first three games of the series, shooting 43% from the floor.

The Suns will host the Lakers in Game 5 of the series on Tuesday night.
