Anthony Davis Made NBA History In Lakers-Pelicans Game

On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans faced off in Las Vegas for the In-Season Tournament's final four.

The Lakers won the game by a score of 133-89, and LeBron James led the way with 30 points, five rebounds and eight assists. 

Anthony Davis had a fantastic game, putting up 16 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 5/10 from the field in 31 minutes of playing time. 

During the game, Davis also made NBA history by moving up on the all-time rebounding list

Davis came into the evening with 7,128 career rebounds and he has now moved ahead of Alonzo Mourning (7,137) for 108th on the list. 

Following Mourning, the next player for Davis to pass will be Ray Scott (7,154). 

Davis is in the middle of another fantastic season and came entered the matchup with averages of 23.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.8 blocks per contest while shooting 53.4% from the field. 

With the victory over the Pelicans, the Lakers improved to 14-9 in their first 23 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their previous ten games. 

The Lakers will now face off against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday evening for the In-Season Tournament Championship on Saturday evening in Las Vegas. 

The Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 128-119 earlier in the evening.
