Anthony Edwards came agonizingly close to what would have been his first career appearance in the NBA Finals. Unfortunately for him, the Minnesota Timberwolves came up short in the Western Conference finals, losing out to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder, 4-1.
It was an ultimately disappointing end to Edwards' fifth year with the Timberwolves, but knowing how this young man operates, he should be back hungrier than ever next season.
In the meantime, Edwards can do what he can to enjoy his summer vacation. This includes supporting his youth basketball team under the Anthony Edwards AE5 Basketball program.
On Wednesday, Edwards took to Instagram to share some exciting news about his young squad. The AE5 2033 team came out of the PeachState Explosion tournament in Edwards' hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, as the 2025 champions in the 4th Grade Boys division.

Edwards did not add any caption to his post, instead letting the championship announcement speak for itself.
Edwards' Class of 2033 squad stood out from the pack in the recent tournament. They emerged as the champions among the eight teams that took part in the three-day tournament, which was held between May 30 and June 1.
Apart from being one of the top superstars in the NBA today, Edwards has also gone out of his way to make an impact off the NBA court. He has been helping develop the next generation of basketball hopefuls in his hometown, and his team's recent success is a testament to his program's commendable work.
