Don’t expect to see Atlanta Hawks big man Larry Nance Jr. in action at any point in the remainder of the 2024-25 NBA regular season.
On Wednesday, the Hawks shared that Nance, who is nursing a lower-body injury that he suffered during a game against the Orlando Magic last February, will be “re-evaluated” after the regular season. That likely means that he will not be on the court at least until the NBA Playoffs – and that’ if the Hawks make it that far.

An @emoryhealthcare injury update:
Larry Nance Jr. (right medial femoral condyle fracture on Feb. 10 at Orlando) continues to progress through his rehabilitation.
He will be re-evaluated following the regular season, and an update on his status will be provided at that time.
Nance’s absence impacts the depth of Atlanta’s frontcourt, especially with Clint Capela also nursing an injury. However, the Hawks should still be fine rolling with Onyeka Okongwu as their starting center. When he was healthy, Nance was averaging 8.5 points, 4.3 boards, 0.8 steals and 0.5 blocks through 24 games this season with Atlanta.
Nance, who is on an expiring contract, was traded to the Hawks last summer by the New Orleans Pelicans along with Dyson Daniels, E.J. Liddell, Cody Zeller and a couple of picks for a package that mainly featured Dejounte Murray.
