Austin Reaves’ agent issues statement in retaliation to claims about Luka Doncic, ‘any suggestion…’

Phoenix Suns reporter John Gambadoro told the Burns and Gambo Show, that LeBron James and Austin Reaves do not like playing with Luka Doncic.

He said: “LeBron does not like playing with Luka. Reaves does not like playing with Luka.

“Reaves does not like getting the ball with two seconds left on the shot clock. LeBron is not fond of playing with Luka.”

These comments have been widely reported since, prompting Austin Reaves to issue a denial via his agent.

Austin Reaves’ response

Via Lakers reporter Trevor Lane, Austin Reaves‘ agents have put out a statement to categorically deny the claims.

Aaron Reilly stated: “Austin has nothing but the utmost respect for Luka and truly enjoys playing alongside him.

“Any suggestion to the contrary is completely false. He’s excited to be on the court with Luka—both now and in the future.”

Reaves last week turned down a contract extension from the Lakers. He will be able to earn more money in the open market when he hits free agency next summer.

Gambadoro responded to the denial, stating: “I would too if I was his agent. Does not mean it’s true.”

LeBron James has not addressed the claims, and nor has Luka Doncic. All three players are on their holidays.
