Luka Doncic had a mixed day out while playing against the Brooklyn Nets. Despite dropping 41 points, the 27-year-old had his 16th technical foul handed out to him. However, to refresh the players’ minds from the constant turmoil, the team went on a golfing day out. But for Austin Reaves, the experience was not a pleasant one.

To reach Florida for their golf practice, the team had to drive for 5 hours. And according to Reaves, riding with Doncic for so long was pretty tough. While he did not specifically point out the reason, it was surely a lighthearted joke from Reaves.

“I rode in the car with Luka for five hours so y’all can feel sorry for me,” said Reaves.

Well, this was not the only time that the 27-year-old has trolled Doncic. Of late, the duo’s chemistry on the court has been stellar. Owing to some superb performances from the two, the Lakers went on a nine-game winning spree. Although the streak was broken by the Detroit Pistons, both Reaves and Doncic ensured that the purple and gold brigade is back on track with consecutive wins.

Meanwhile, looking at such a great performance from the 2023 NBA Cup champion, a lot of franchises are reportedly eyeing him.

Will Austin Reaves Stay With The Los Angeles Lakers?

When asked about his recent surge, the 27-year-old clarified how he hates to lose. Owing to such a mindset, Reaves had dropped at least 15 points in all nine games that the Lakers had won previously. And he has continued doing the same even after. According to reports from Yossi Gozlan, the competing franchises might try to lure him away from the Lakers.

For example, would a team like the Clippers, Hawks, or Bulls offer Reaves a two or three-year max to make a competitive offer? It would be similar to how the Rockets signed Fred VanVleet away from the Raptors in 2023. It could give the Lakers some pause given their path to maintain cap flexibility over the next few seasons,” Gozlan wrote.

Thus, as stocks rise, it will be up to Reaves to determine what comes next.
