Austin Reaves' performance against the Golden State Warriors might not have been enough to give the Los Angeles Lakers the win, but it helped him secure a franchise record.

Thanks to his outside shooting against the Dubs, the undrafted guard has surpassed the late Kobe Bryant by making the third-most threes in a single season for the Purple and Gold.

During the Lakers' home game against Stephen Curry and the Warriors, Reaves posted 31 points, hitting nine 3-pointers out of his 16 attempts. According to Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation, this pushed the 26-year-old guard to third place on the franchise's list for most triples in a single season.

Reaves entered the game with 173 triples on the season. As of now, he has 182.

Based on data from Stat Muse, Kobe Bryant previously held the third spot on the list with 180 triples.

Even better news for Austin Reaves, he's just two triples away from climbing to the No. 2 spot and surpassing Nick Van Exel's 183 triples during the 1994-95 campaign.

With six games left in the regular season, Reaves certainly has every opportunity to make more history with the Purple and Gold franchise.

Reaves' emergence this season has benefited the Lakers and their quest to win a ring. That said, fans can expect him to remain an integral part of L.A.'s offense as the team battles to secure a higher seed in the playoffs.
