Stephen and Ayesha Curry have been through a lot – both as a couple and in marriage. While they’ve built a solid foundation for their relationship and their kids’ future, they will still have subtle arguments here and there.

And they are at an age when they will enter a different chapter in their lives – reaching 40 and beyond. While that’s still a couple of years away, there’s little to no doubt they’ll get there. They’ve been spotted together on most occasions, especially publicly. But there was a time when Ayesha was unsure about pursuing a relationship with Steph in the first place.

“I have very textbook…uh maybe misconception…movie plot ideas of athletes. The jocks stereotype. I was a theatre nerd, so I think I was protecting my peace,” Ayesha Curry said.

“People for some reason think that in the past I said I think he [Stephen Curry] wasn’t my type. But what I was saying was, I don’t think I was his type,” she added. “Very disrespectful on my part.”

That’s how most unusual love stories come about, anyway. While some say people need to find someone who shares their interests, others are adamant that opposites do attract. And for Stephen and Ayesha Curry, it looks like they are opposites who learned to accept each other’s flaws.

Stephen Curry Commends His Wife on Her 37th Birthday

Ayesha recently celebrated her 37th birthday, and Steph made sure it was a blast. The couple, who were married in 2011, were extremely vocal about their affections towards each other, especially on their socials. And Steph bombarded his wife with a lot of love and appreciation from his IG account.

“Happy birthday to the one that makes this whole thing work!” Stephen Curry wrote on Instagram. “This past year has been one of my favorites. The determination to go after what you want. The grind and work behind the scenes. Stepping into new versions of you with courage that inspires me every day. I love it all.”

Good to see NBA guys taking care of their women behind the scenes. How can people hate a loving husband and a family guy like Steph? Enjoy him, folks. We are probably seeing the last stretch of his career now that he’s 38.
