Ayesha Curry, the wife of Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry, changed some of her famous recipes to help her husband meet his nutritional needs as an NBA All-Star.

Ayesha Curry, 36, did an interview with People magazine during the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado, and discussed how she switched Steph Curry’s game day meal from pasta, which is high in carbohydrates, to a nutrient-dense breakfast.

“For the majority of his career, I would make a game day pasta, and then the past four years that shifted because he altered his workout a little bit and needed different nutrients at different times,” she said. “And now on game days when he’s home, I make him breakfast, but then we skip game day pasta.”

Ayesha Curry's enjoyment for cooking has helped fuel her husband for games where he could play anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes and score more than 20 points. Furthermore, her love for food has also helped kick-start her restaurant in the Bay Area, International Smoke, which she co-owns alongside chef Michael Mina.

The menu includes internationally inspired barbecue dishes from Asian nations, including Vietnam and Korea. Furthermore, she authored two cookbooks, “The Full Plate” and “The Seasoned Life.” The mother of four also has her own show on the Food Network called “Ayesha’s Home Kitchen.”

“It’s been tumultuous,” she said of her culinary journey. “It is a tough industry, but at the same time, it’s a beautiful industry, and I think anyone in hospitality knows how quickly your environment becomes your family.”

Meanwhile, her husband could be gearing up for his 17th season in the NBA at 37. But he could be in good hands if he continues to feed his body correctly by enjoying some of his wife’s nutrient-rich game day meals.
