Ayesha Curry Sends Message to Steph Curry After Lakers-Warriors

Two-time MVP Steph Curry, the all-time leading scorer in Golden State Warriors franchise history with 25,386 points , is entering his 17th NBA season. 2024-25 ended in disappointment yet again for the Warriors, who suffered a second-round exit in the NBA playoffs courtesy of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Curry and Co. are looking to challenge for the title this season, and the Warriors took a small step toward this goal after Sunday’s preseason win over the Los Angeles Lakers. While L.A. opted to rest LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, among others, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr gave his stars some run in their preseason opener.

Curry logged 15 minutes in the game, registering 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, to go along with one rebound, two assists and three triples, as he helped lead the Warriors to a 111-103 victory against the Lakers.

After the game, Curry received a message from his wife, Ayesha Curry, who was in attendance at Chase Center for Sunday’s matchup. Ayesha Curry took to social media to express her pride in her husband.

“Year SEVENTEEN!!!! I’m so proud of you @stephencurry30 Letsssssss gooooooooo,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.

Ayesha Curry, who has been married to the Warriors superstar since 2011, shared a video of the team warming up before the game. The 36-year-old mother-of-four had to take a moment prior to tip-off to appreciate the fact that Steph Curry is now entering his 17th NBA season.

The fact that Curry is still one of the top stars in the league at this point in his career speaks volumes about his legacy. The four-time NBA champion has pretty much done it all in his career already, but this has done little to quell his desire to reach the pinnacle again this season.

For her part, Ayesha Curry will be standing behind her man every step of the way.
