The Chicago Bulls have started the 2025-26 season quite strongly with a 3-0 record after three games. This is a monumental start for the Bulls, as most people can see the positive vibes within the team and the locker room.
Chicago's latest win was a 128-123 victory against the Atlanta Hawks, which saw the Bulls have eight players scoring double-digit points. It was such an impressive performance, but Chicago native Ayo Dosunmu had a standout night with 21 points.
With the impressive performances that the Bulls have had over the past week, everyone is excited for the team to have a strong season. This is a refreshing campaign that they have not had since the year when they were the first seed for the Eastern Conference in January 2022.
Unfortunately, Lonzo Ball's knee injury started the snowball for Chicago. They have been an underwhelming team since Ball's injury, as they have had a duo of Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan leading the charge. They were decent players, but they were not superstars who could take them over the edge.
Now, the Bulls are in a new era with a mostly younger team. Nikola Vucevic is still there, but the vibes are immaculate to start the 2025-26 season.
With this 3-0 start, the Bulls are first in the Eastern Conference alongside the Philadelphia 76ers. Neither of the teams was expected to be the top team in the East, considering the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks are still the favorites to win the conference.
However, it is a great moment for the players and fans of the Chicago Bulls. They have been starving for success for a long time, but this new shift has been refreshing to say the least.
A big part of their success so far has been the chemistry and overall good relationships between the players. For the Bulls, it is a big deal because everyone is playing better because they like their teammates alongside them.
"This group, by far, is prob the closest group in terms of that. You know how in some teams it might’ve been forced in terms of the way we clicked as fast? This group, we can go on a bus ride, we're laughing, we're talking about the NBA, it’s more of a brotherhood," Dosunmu said after the win against the Hawks.
Ayo Dosunmu on the Bulls’ camaraderie: “It felt special just going to dinners. This group, by far, is prob the closest group in terms of that. "You ever went to the park and played with your brothers? If your brother open, you gon throw it to him, right? Because that’s your brother."
Of course, the Bulls must think about how they can sustain this level of success. They are not as talented as the other top teams in the Eastern Conference, so they must do their best to keep this up.
If they can reach the postseason with the momentum from this start, that is a great result for Chicago. They have a young team, apart from Vucevic, so this should be a good learning experience for the team. Players like Matas Buzelis and Coby White continue to learn from the reps they are getting.

This will be a challenging season, but it is off to a strong start with a 3-0 record and being one of the two undefeated teams left after three games. They should be cautious because the Bulls will now have a target on their backs.
Thankfully, the players have unlocked some good chemistry, which is a good sign for their season moving forward under head coach Billy Donovan.
