LeBron James was one of the headline personalities at Fanatics Fest in New York on Saturday. He took time to sit down and record live episodes in front of fans for both "The Shop"—which featured Tom Brady, Maverick Carter, Victor Wembanyama, and Kai Cenat—and his "Mind the Game" podcast alongside co-host Steve Nash.
In addition to his appearances at the event, another major announcement involving James was made over the weekend: he was officially named “Favorite Male Sports Star” at the 2025 Kids' Choice Awards.
Including his Kids' Choice blimps, this marks the 10th time James has received an award at the ceremony, tying Michael Jordan as the most decorated athlete in Nickelodeon history.

LeBron James is set to return for his 23rd NBA season, which will make him the longest-tenured player in league history. He’ll turn 41 in December, yet his production remains remarkably high—making him one of the best players in the NBA, even as many of his peers have already retired or are nearing the end of their careers.
This past season, James averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steal per game, helping lead the Lakers to the playoffs as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
However, they were eliminated in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves, as James continued to build chemistry with the Lakers’ midseason acquisition, global superstar Luka Doncic.
Despite his ongoing success, it remains unclear how much longer the four-time champion plans to play.
James has acknowledged that retirement is on the horizon but has yet to commit to a specific timeline. Regardless, his influence continues to transcend the sport, with global fame that spans far beyond the basketball court.
