Blake Griffin Continues To Show Flashes Of His Former Self

Griffin hasn’t been as explosive a player as he once was but the short play proved that he can still perform like he used to at times.

This season, Griffin has been averaging 6.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists a game for Brooklyn.

Those aren’t eye-popping numbers but Griffin has only been allowed about 17 minutes a game this year.

For his career, Griffin has averaged 19.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists a game.

During his prime time in the league with the Los Angeles Clippers, Griffin was known to be incomparable when it came to defense and offensive explosions.

He was known to dunk over just about anyone else in the league and was also a champion of completing incredible lob pass plays alongside Chris Paul.

In the years since then, Griffin’s output has lessened during his time with the Detroit Pistons and now the Nets.

Head coach Steve Nash isn’t expecting Griffin to be like he once was but getting a small taste of vintage Griffin every once in a while will greatly help the Nets as they continue to chase a championship.
