On Friday, Griffin headlined the list of Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame candidates, together with his former Los Angeles Clippers teammate, Jamal Crawford. For the returning nominees, the list includes Marv Albert, Mark Few, Doc Rivers, and Amar’e Stoudemire.
On Friday's broadcast of NBA on Prime, Griffin was congratulated by the studio crew, Taylor Rooks, Udonis Haslem and Hall of Famer Steve Nash. The 2011 Rookie of the Year expressed his appreciation for the recognition he received for being nominated.
“It’s an honor,” Griffin said. “It’s not something that you expect, but you always appreciate it. [We’ll] see where it goes.”
