Blazers sign Jaylen Martin to Exhibit 10 deal

The Trail Blazers have added another player for training camp. Portland signed free agent guard Jaylen Martin to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.

Martin, 22, spent last season in the G League, splitting time between the Delaware Blue Coats and Rip City Remix. He averaged 14.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 44 regular-season appearances while shooting 46.2 percent from the field.

The 6-foot-6 wing took a different route to the professional ranks. Martin was a four-star prospect coming out of high school but opted against playing college basketball, instead joining Overtime Elite. He went undrafted in 2024 before beginning his career in the G League.

Now he’ll get a look from the Blazers. An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed minimum-salary deal that can be converted into a two-way contract before the regular season. It can also provide Martin with a bonus if he’s waived and subsequently spends at least 60 days with Portland’s G League affiliate.

That latter scenario appears the more likely outcome. It’s not the sort of move that’s going to change the Western Conference. It’s September roster business, and the Blazers apparently aren’t finished doing it.
