Minnesota Timberwolves’ new addition is putting in valuable minutes to prepare for a role on the team.
While the trade deadline passed a month ago, teams were busy tweaking their rosters via buyouts and free agency in recent weeks. Most moves have been low-key, like the Minnesota Timberwolves addition of former Clippers player Bones Hyland.
Hyland has experience with the Clippers and could turn out to be a very useful addition in Minnesota.
Since his arrival, Hyland has played only five minutes of action, in the team’s loss to the LA Lakers. He managed to score 12 points.
Since then the returns of Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo have kept Hyland out, and he has been gaining minutes in the G League.
On March 3, Hyland put up 39 points, also adding 5 rebounds and 5 assists in action for the Iowa Wolves.

NBA fans were in total agreement after Bones Hyland’s big performance in the G League, making a very valid point, regarding a player who posted double figures against the Lakers just dayes earlier.
One wrote: “This man should NOT be in the G League”.
Another added: “Why they even wasting time sending you to the G league??? They must not know.”
A third wrote: “He’s way too good for the G,” and another agreed: “No business being in the G league.”
While another asked: “Why is one of the most skilled players in the nba playing in the G League”.
Ahead of a showdown against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Minnesota Timberwolves are at 33-29, ninth placed in the Western Conference.
They have four games upcoming against teams with weaker records, and the chance to go 4-0 over these games is a real one for Anthony Edwards and co, and it’s possible Bones Hyland gets a call-up with a back-to-back upcoming.
