On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics hosted Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in Massachusetts. The game was extremely close, but the Nuggets were able to come away with a 102-100 victory, which gave the Celtics their first home loss of the 2023-24 NBA season. Before the Denver matchup, the Celtics assigned rookie Jordan Walsh to the G League. The former Arkansas star played in Friday's game between the Maine Celtics and Sioux Falls Skyforce (the Celtics lost 116-112). In 34 minutes of playing time, Walsh had 18 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one block while shooting 7/18 from the field and 2/10 from the three-point range. Following Friday's loss to the Nuggets, the Celtics have now announced (on Saturday) that they have recalled Walsh back to the NBA. The 19-year-old has played in one NBA game so far this season.
